First published in 2012, Prison Architect was highly acclaimed for its prison simulation concept. On top of that, developer Paradox Interactive managed to keep the game on the agenda with many updates. A new release date has been announced for Prison Architect 2, which has been in development for a while.
Prison Architect 2 delayed to May
Paradox Interactive said in a recent statement that it will experience a two-month delay in its March release date. Accordingly, Prison Architect 2 will be released on May 7, 2023 for PC and consoles. So what does the new simulation game promise?
Paradox said in a statement that Double Eleven is working to identify and fix more bugs. It also said it plans a smooth release for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The two-month delay will be spent on quality and control testing of the game.
The new game will completely change the prison building and crime system. The developer plans to move the structure from the first game to a fully 3D environment. Features such as multi-story construction and a new connection system are expected to bring a difference to the gameplay.
Paradox shared that it will release gameplay videos of Prison Architect 2 in March to keep up to date with the development process. By May, Paradox will release the stable version and launch the new production. Prison Architect 2 is now available on Steam for 23 dollars.
It is also worth noting that the K9 Cosmetics Pack is offered during the pre-order process. This package includes a Black Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd and Alaskan Shepherd. Let’s see how the May launch will be received by the players.
