Threads, which was recently introduced as an alternative to X (Twitter) and has been met with great interest, is trying to increase its strength in the tough competition with its rival. Meta, the roof company of the platform, has released a new update that makes the feature, which is available for a fee on X, available to users for free. Here are the details
Threads is taking very serious steps
Threads managed to gain a record number of users in a very short time immediately after its launch, but failed to keep these users within the platform. The company, which has put this negative trend on the table, has started to take steps to escalate the competition.
With the recently released update, Threads users were able to use the share editing capability that X offers to Blue (Premium) subscribers for free within the application.
With the addition of another feature, users were able to add voice notes to their posts. The feature, which is expected to be gradually rolled out to all users, is currently only available to a limited group of users.
In the current market, where Elon Musk’s remarkable attitudes and decisions are often brought to the agenda, Meta seems to be trying to take relatively more serious and clear steps. These steps, which may seem small but are extremely effective contrary to their appearance, provide an advantage in the competition, as the company aims.
So, what do you think about this new Threads update? Do you think X can make any changes on this step taken by its competitor? Did you find the new voice sharing feature useful? You can share your opinions and predictions with us in the comments section.
