Qualcomm is developing three processors for mid-segment smartphones!
These processors, which are reported to have model numbers SM4635, SM6650 and SM7635, are expected to belong to the Snapdragon 4, Snapdragon 6 and Snapdragon 7 series, respectively, according to Qualcomm’s naming conventions.
According to the information, the processor with model number SM4635 will be codenamed “pitti”, while SM6650 and SM7635 will be known as “volcano”. The first smartphone to be powered by the SM7635 chipset is rumored to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro model.
Roland Quandt, a reliable source in the mobile world, claimed in a recent report that the SM4635 processor will be called Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 and will support 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. Another rumor says that the SM7635 chipset will underperform the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 announced in March 2024.
There are not many available details about Qualcomm’s new processors. Accordingly, it remains unclear when the semiconductor giant will announce its chipsets. New information will come out in the coming days.
