ByteDance stated that third-party food service providers were used without food preparation in its offices. Company officials announced that they were investigating the cause of this situation and providing support to the affected employees.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the Ministry of Health made a statement following the incident, emphasizing the importance of complying with food safety standards. The SFA stated that the necessary sanctions will be applied for food safety violations.
