Ana sayfa / News

TikTok, which has recently made a sound with its bans, does not stop its development activities. So, the TikTok-based chatbot “Tako” was officially announced. This announcement, coming directly from TikTokComms, was actually not a big surprise in general. Because there is almost no company left that is not interested in artificial intelligence-based chatbots.

Tiktok’s chatbot Tako will be your assistant to discover new contents

The first statement from the company about Tako, which is still in the early stages, was as follows: “We’re in the early stages of exploring chatbot tools with a limited test of Tako with select users in the Philippines. Tako is an AI-powered tool to help with search and discovery on TikTok. Tako is powered by a third-party chat assistant and is designed to help make it easier to discover entertaining and inspiring content on TikTok. No current plans for this beyond these early tests, but we’re excited to hear your feedback!”

Tako, which is currently unknown when it will be generally available, will be included as an icon on the main video screens. When clicked on, it will open a private chat window. The system will be able to provide information on different topics as well as content recommendations. Tako may be very popular with users when it becomes generally available, or it may remain idle without being used at all.

Snapchat has also launched its own chatbot “My AI” in recent months

Snapchat was the service that launched a chatbot before this. The chatbot for Snapchat Plus subscribers, announced by Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, aims to increase the use of the platform. With this bot, the company aims to make users return to the application more often. The company calls its ChatGPT-based chatbot “My AI“. Snap states that we will start talking to artificial intelligence systems as well as family and friends every day. Thus, the company states that they have customized the basis of ChatGPT within their own rules.

According to the statement, “My AI” does not respond to users with opinions on risky topics such as swearing, violence, obscene content, or politics. It will also avoid responding to some academic topics. The system is of course made possible by the OpenAI partnership behind ChatGPT. OpenAI is currently working with many companies, especially Microsoft. It is seriously commercializing the artificial intelligence system.
