On the latest episode of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon and Apple CEO Tim Cook took a long walk through New York’s Central Park to introduce the new iPhone 16. During the fun and lively conversation, they didn’t just talk about the new device but also shared insights about Apple’s AI plans and details from their daily lives.
Tim Cook Is Excited About iOS 18!
The episode kicked off with Fallon standing outside the famous 5th Avenue Apple Store, wearing the Vision Pro headset, interacting with the public. At that moment, Tim Cook stepped out of the store and personally handed Fallon the new iPhone 16. However, Fallon mistook Cook for an augmented reality employee, thanks to the Vision Pro’s features, and humorously complimented him on how realistic he looked.
Cook handled the mix-up with grace, and the two stars set off on a walk through Central Park, capturing the moment using a selfie stick attached to the iPhone 16.
During the walk, Tim Cook spoke about the iPhone 16 and upcoming AI updates. He highlighted Apple Intelligence, set to launch in October, and shared that his favorite feature is the email summarization capability. “I receive hundreds of emails a day, and with just one click, those long emails are summarized. It’s a huge time saver for me,” he added.
Beyond AI, the duo shared warm and lighthearted moments. When they passed a hot dog cart in the park, Fallon tried to guess Cook’s favorite condiment. When Cook asked Fallon to look into his eyes, Fallon confidently guessed, “You’re a mustard guy!” which Cook playfully confirmed, praising Fallon’s guessing skills.
At the end of the walk, Fallon gifted Cook a glittery, New York-themed hat, and they humorously strolled in slow motion to rock music. The fun didn’t stop there though—outside the Apple Store, Cook reminded Fallon that he still hadn’t paid for the iPhone, suggesting he use Apple Pay to complete the transaction.
