Trendyol has changed the rules for the “Successful Seller” badge, which symbolizes the reliability and performance of sellers on its platform. With this update, sellers who previously missed out on this badge due to poor performance can now earn it much faster.
Trendyol has changed its badge rules
Previously, earning the badge required a seller rating of 8.75 or higher within the last six months. This has been reduced to one month. This means a seller can only earn the “Successful Seller” badge if they achieve this rating within the last month. Additionally, the new requirements include having completed at least one net order in the last month.
The store age requirement for earning the badge has also been changed. While the previous system required one year of sales history, stores that opened only six months ago can now be considered for this badge.
The new system maintains some other key requirements. To earn the badge, the store must be designed, the first product released must be at least six months old, and the average product and seller ratings for the last six months must be 4.5 or higher.
The requirements for a Violation Score of less than 12 and a total of at least 1,000 net orders during the same period remain in effect. Furthermore, the seller must have a “Development Center” rating of at least Silver, calculated on the first day of each month, and must not have received any customer complaints regarding counterfeiting or misleading product information.
Despite these requirements, the badge can only be earned with a single month’s performance, opening the door for sellers with a low performance history on the platform to earn this badge. The “product rating score of 4.5 or higher” requirement, in particular, continues to create challenges in sectors like clothing, where returns are high.
While the changes to the badge system indicate that Trendyol is moving to a more flexible structure in its seller reward system, it remains unclear how this flexibility will affect the customer experience.
