HIT-30, a major incentive package for electric car manufacturers to build factories, announced!
President Erdoğan recently announced the HIT-30: High Technology Investment Program, which is of great importance for Türkiye’s developing technology infrastructure and industry. Within the scope of this package, it is aimed for major manufacturers to establish factories in Türkiye and to carry out important studies in the field of R&D in our country.
Electric car manufacturers are to be invited to Türkiye
Within the scope of this package, electric car manufacturers are undoubtedly the most desired brands to be invited to Türkiye. Following MG, which recently made the agenda with its 1-billion-dollar factory investment in Manisa, the aim is to attract other European and Asian electric car manufacturers to Türkiye.
In line with this goal, the brands that will come to Türkiye will be a great source of foreign currency for the country’s economy and will provide a great deal of employment. In addition to all these, our domestic car brand Togg will provide a competitive environment for other manufacturers, which will provide users with the opportunity to reach newer and better cars at more affordable prices.
With the package announced by President Erdoğan, he announced a total incentive package of 4.5 billion dollars for domestic battery production as well as 5 billion dollars of incentives for electric car manufacturers. With the incentives, it is aimed to become a regional production base by building an annual battery production of at least 1 million dollars and a capacity of 80 GWh by 2030.
