Turtle Beach Stealth Pro: Premium headset review

Ana sayfa / Reviews

In our continuous quest for the ultimate gaming headphones, we’ve landed on Turtle Beach’s newest offering, the Stealth Pro Wireless. Referred to by its maker as “the King”, this product aims to validate the phrase, ‘All good things in one package.’

The Stealth Pro comes with an impressive arsenal of features designed to deliver an unrivaled gaming experience. But does it successfully dethrone its competitors in a crowded market?

Delving into the Stealth Pro

Promising to be the ultimate gaming companion, the Stealth Pro wraps its extensive features in a chic chassis. The highlights include noise-canceling, EQ-adjustable sound, comprehensive platform support, and the cherry on top – swappable batteries. No gamer likes to be cut off in the heat of a session, and this feature ensures continuity.

However, the headset’s versatility is slightly tinged by its ‘jack-of-all-trades’ nature, being good at everything but not necessarily the best at anything. Also, it bears a significant price tag of $330, which might give potential buyers a pause. Yet, for those who can digest the cost, the Stealth Pro presents a luxurious gaming accessory that doubles up as travel headphones.

Does it stand out in the crowd?

In terms of aesthetics, the Stealth Pro maintains a balance between gaming and classic headphone design, not appearing too gamer-centric. A black and steel color scheme gives it an elegant look. Though not on par with popular names like Sony or Sennheiser, compared to other gaming headphones such as the HyperX Cloud Alpha, the Stealth Pro’s design is tasteful.

Comfort is well addressed with thick padding wrapped in soft leatherette on the ear cups and band. Despite its hefty chassis weighing over 400 grams, it’s comfortable even after a few hours of wear. Also, the headset’s adjustable active noise-canceling ability paired with the noise isolation feature of the ear cups provides an immersive gaming experience.

The gamer’s verdict

The Stealth Pro shines in its instrumental separation across a wide soundstage, translating brilliantly into gaming scenarios. It creates a clear directional perception of effects, gunshots, and movements which can greatly enhance a gamer’s experience.

Despite a few minor hiccups like an awkward control arrangement and a quirky app, the Stealth Pro offers plenty of customization options through the Audio Hub app, allowing gamers to adjust the headphones to their preferences.

While it might not hold the crown as “the King“, the Stealth Pro is a worthy contender in the premium headset market. It successfully checks many boxes and is one of the few gaming headsets that won’t look out of place in a non-gaming environment.

A final thought: Other Options worth considering

Competitors like the Arctis Nova Pro exist and considering it’s only $20 more, it’s a viable alternative. As such, although the Stealth Pro is a robust and fun addition to the market, the competition is still fierce.

So, dear readers, what do you think about this review? Does the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless strike a chord with you? Do you believe it justifies its price? Please share your views in the comment section below!
