New features announced at TwitchCon 2023 will make Twitch a much more interactive environment. Stories and Discover tabs for Twitch are at the top of the list of new features, which seem to be copied from TikTok and Instagram.
All features announced at TwitchCon 2023
At TwitchCon Paris, Twitch showed off all the features coming to the platform. Inspired by Instagram and Snapchat, the new Stories feature will include 24-hour posts. It will only be available on the mobile app and will allow you to share photos, videos or clips.
You’ve asked, “Why not make better use of Clips on Twitch itself?”

Enter, Discovery Feed!
If a scrollable feed of bite-sized funny/hype/heartfelt moments sounds familiar to you, that’s because you’re a human being with a phone in 2023. Sometimes a good idea is just a good idea. pic.twitter.com/BHmjsxlxpC
Creators will also be able to hide the visibility of their Stories. If they want, they can restrict it to their followers and subscribers. This will make it more important to subscribe or follow a publisher.
Another notable new feature is the “Discover Feed.” This feature, which will be integrated into the Twitch app, will allow creators to communicate with their subscribers even when they are not broadcasting. Creators will be able to share clips from live streams or any photo as a post.
Recognising the importance of clips, especially for smaller streamers, Twitch will be adding new tools to the clip editor. The most significant change is the ability to vertically crop clips and share them directly to TikTok,
Twitch has also addressed concerns about ads appearing during broadcasts. A counter will be added to the chat to let viewers know when ads are about to play. Some of the new features will be available later this year.
