Twitter increases video lengths for “Blue” subscribers

Ana sayfa / News

Twitter has been selling its “Blue” subscription package for some time. The package, which costs $8 per month if purchased on the website and $11 per month if purchased on the iOS app due to Apple tax, first gives people a blue checkmark of approval. The Twitter Blue package doesn’t stop there, and now Blue subscribers can upload up to 10 minutes of video to the platform via the iOS and Android apps, and up to 60 minutes of video (maximum 2 GB 1080P) via the website.

Twitter Blue subscribers can upload up to 10 minutes of video

Non-subscribers can upload videos up to 4 minutes in length to Twitter. The company, which gives much more importance to videos, also allows Blue subscribers to edit Tweets. It also shows 50 percent fewer ads. It also highlights subscribers in replies, searches, and mentions. Twitter activates some features early for Blue subscribers. Subscribers also get some customization opportunities.

The company launched a new feature yesterday. For those who missed it, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, made the following statement on December 9 on his account, which currently has more than 122 million followers: “Tweets will show the number of views in a few weeks, just like videos. Twitter is much more alive than people think.”

Musk was true to his word, and yesterday the “view count” started appearing at the bottom of Tweets. This makes sense because it will allow people to see how much interaction their Tweets are getting without leaving their home page.

At first, the platform will only show the number of views to the Tweeter. It is not certain, but it may change this in the future and make the numbers public. Elon Musk has made a lot of changes since he became CEO of Twitter. What do you think about these changes? You can share with us in the comment section below.
