Twitter is testing a more organized sidebar menu on iOS

Ana sayfa / Social Media

Twitter, whose name has been associated with Elon Musk for a while, is working on several changes specific to iPhone users. The constantly renewed Twitter may hide a surprise for iOS users in its next update. Founded in San Francisco, California, USA in 2006, the company is open to innovation. So much so that it brought many innovations from voice chat rooms to send voice messages with updates. Eventually, the company launched Twitter Blue.

Twitter’s iOS app may be different than Android’s

Twitter Blue is a paid subscription system that unlocks additional benefits. But Twitter’s innovation this time is exclusive to iOS-based iPhone users. Some developers release apps first on certain platforms. For example, GTA V first appeared on consoles and later on computers. Likewise, we can find these examples in mobile applications. If we need to give an example to this, we can give an example that Bumble, which is a dating app, firstly meets with iOS users through the Apple Store.

Another example of this is operating system (OS) based updates. This is exactly the example we covered in this article, because Twitter will bring the update in question only to iOS-based devices. In the coming days, if the user experience is positive, it may bring the sidebar update to Android.

Related to the issue, Twitter made a post directly from its Twitter Support account. This shows that the change will be more certain than rumor. Although Twitter acknowledged its work on iOS-based devices, it did not give a clear date for the update.

The screenshot above is from Twitter Support’s post. Looking at the screenshot, the main area in the new sidebar menu includes Twitter Blue, Topics, Bookmarks and List. Below, these are three expandable categories. These are Creator Studio, Professional Tools and Settings and Support areas.

Do you think the new sidebar menu Twitter is working on is appealing to the eye? Do they have any shortcomings? Would you prefer to make this update when the Twitter update that includes the new sidebar comes? Please share with us in the comments.
