Twitter may roll out a new subscription plan to remove ads

Ana sayfa / News

As you know, important changes are taking place on the Twitter platform after Elon Musk. Elon Musk, who continues to work to make the platform more popular, announced that a new subscription package is on the way to make more money on the platform. Twitter currently sells a Blue subscription to people for $ 11 per month on mobile apps and $ 8 per month on the web version. This new subscription plan seems to completely disable the ads.

The Twitter Blue new no-ads subscription may have a price of 20$

People who buy the Twitter Blue subscription not only have a blue checkmark but also see 50 percent fewer ads on the platform. Musk, who just made an announcement on this issue, first said, “Ads are too frequent on Twitter and too big. Taking steps to address both in coming weeks.” Musk also shared that “Also, there will be a higher priced subscription that allows zero ads”. This package, which is not yet known how much it will be and when it will be released, will completely hide the ads on the platform, so it will most likely have a monthly price close to 20 dollars. We may even see a higher price.

There was a lot of information for Twitter today. For example, the service’s iOS app has a faster bookmarking feature. In this way, after opening a tweet that you want to browse later, you can easily save it with the bookmark icon in the lower right corner.

According to Musk, the next Twitter update will remember users’ “private for you” and “followed” selections. Currently, every time the service is opened, the “private for you” section is brought up first. Most people don’t want this because the algorithm customizes this section. The “followed” section shows content from people who are actually followed.

Also, in the coming months, the service will start showing translated posts in other languages. Musk, who thinks this for the “special for you” section, states that very interesting posts are made especially in Japan. Twitter has had a translation feature based on Google Translate for a very long time, but this works manually. In the new period, the whole process will be automatic.
