Twitter today took a step forward for its iOS app and rolled out a global bookmark indicator. When you go into the details of a Tweet in the Twitter app on iOS, you can see the number of quotes, retweets, likes, and now the number of bookmarks added. This publicly displayed number is a new way to see or measure how interacted with or noticed Tweets are. This feature is expected to be brought to Android soon.
What you bookmark on Twitter is not visible to others
Twitter’s bookmarking system has been around for a long time, and the company explains itself as follows: “See a Tweet (or several) you love and want to keep in one place that you can revisit? Bookmarks lets you save Tweets in a timeline for easy, quick access at any time.” You can see the content you have bookmarked on Twitter via a special menu within the service/app. It should be noted that no one else can access this data or see the bookmarks you have added.
How to bookmark a Tweet on Desktop
- From a Tweet, tap the share icon and select Add Tweet to Bookmarks.
- To view your saved Tweets, tap Bookmarks from your profile icon menu.
- To remove a saved Bookmark, tap the share icon from the Tweet within your Bookmarks timeline and select Remove Tweet from Bookmarks. You can also tap the more icon at the top of your Bookmarks timeline to remove all of your bookmarks at once.
Elon Musk is constantly updating Twitter. He also wants to make Twitter a money-making place. Twitter was not a profitable platform before Elon Musk bought it, it was just self-sustaining. Musk wants to change this and aims to make Twitter profitable and make the platform earn serious money. In the past weeks, Musk had stated that they would make Twitter’s algorithm open source. However, no development on this issue has been announced yet. Maybe it is one of Musk’s jokes.
