Ubisoft deleting this game from users’ libraries!

Ana sayfa / Technology

Ubisoft has announced that The Crew, first released in 2010, has officially been canceled. In addition to shutting down the game’s servers, the company also began removing it from some users’ libraries. This situation drew great reaction from the players.

Ubisoft announced a while ago that it will end support for The Crew on April 1st. For a few weeks, the game’s servers were shut down and the online experience was canceled. However, the company did not provide information about whether players will be able to access the game after this process.

After April 1, players who logged into Ubisoft Connect noticed that the licenses had been revoked. This means that the game has been removed from the library. This came as a surprise to users who bought the game digitally years ago and thought they could play it whenever they wanted.

Studios like Ubisoft have the right to remove access to a game at any time under their terms of service. This means that players don’t really own the games they buy digitally.

It’s important to note that The Crew is also an online-focused game. However, users were planning to set up private servers for the game. Considering that the licenses have been revoked, it seems that these plans have fallen through.

Ubisoft had offered refunds during the shutdown period. However, this probably didn’t apply to players who had the game for a long time.
