Ubisoft announced that it is actively working on new projects for the popular Driver series. Although plans for a live-action series have been shelved, exciting developments are on the way for this classic series of the gaming world.

Ubisoft has confirmed that it has canceled the live-action series project for the Driver franchise announced for 2021. While Ubisoft said it is working on new projects, it announced that its film/video subsidiary, Hotrod Tanner LLC, was dissolved in January. “We are no longer continuing our Driver series partnership with Binge,” said a spokesperson for the company.

There hadn’t been a new game in the Driver franchise’s main game line since Driver: San Francisco, released in 2011. However, Ubisoft said that despite this gap, it is developing new projects for the Driver series and is looking forward to sharing more information about these projects.
