Ubisoft has officially delayed many games! Why?

Ana sayfa / News

French gaming giant Ubisoft has come to the fore with a new postponement decision after a difficult period. The company announced that the schedule has been changed for many major productions in development. This decision will directly affect major productions such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon.

According to a new report shared by Ubisoft, the next game in the Far Cry series has been rescheduled to be released towards the end of 2026. Similarly, the development period for the next major Assassin’s Creed game has been extended.

The company’s internal sources reported that Splinter Cell Remake and the new Ghost Recon game have similarly been postponed. We can say that these postponements are a result of a radical change in Ubisoft’s strategy.

The company will move away from short-term and annual game calendars and focus on longer-term projects. In this context, fewer AAA games are planned to be released during the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Ubisoft’s future vision will begin to bear fruit, especially in the 2026-27 and 2027-28 periods.

However, the company’s content planning is not limited to large-scale productions. Smaller and thematic projects are also being developed within the Assassin’s Creed universe. These projects include the multiplayer-based “Invictus” and the Black Flag remake “Obsidian”.

Ubisoft continues its restructuring process rapidly with all these changes. So what do you think about this? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
