Not every game in the industry enjoys a long lifespan, but some manage to defy time. Ubisoft’s *For Honor*, which launched in 2017, is still captivating players with regular content updates. As the game approaches its 9th anniversary, Ubisoft is preparing to introduce a new hero and in-game events to keep its community engaged.
Ubisoft introduces a new hero for For Honor
During the latest Warrior’s Den livestream, Ubisoft revealed Khatun, For Honor’s newest hero. Inspired by Mongolian warrior culture, Khatun joins the game as the fifth Outlander hero. Known in-game as Guljin, this fierce warrior wields Turkish-Mongolian swords and delivers devastating blows to her enemies.

For Honor’s 9th-anniversary celebration kicks off on February 14, featuring a special in-game event. Ubisoft is bringing back a classic execution animation, and players logging in between February 13-20 will receive an exclusive ornament. Additionally, a legendary outfit will be available for purchase for 15,000 Steel.
Ubisoft’s ongoing commitment to For Honor reflects the company’s strategy of sustaining long-term games rather than churning out sequels. With continuous updates and fresh content, the game still retains an active player base. It remains one of Ubisoft’s most enduring projects, proving that service-based games can be a viable long-term investment.
