Unexpected decision from OpenAI about ChatGPT!

Ana sayfa / Technology

OpenAI has started opening ChatGPT to users without an account. It described the move as part of its mission to “make tools like ChatGPT widely available so that people can enjoy the benefits of AI.”

The company will also now be able to collect data from non-account users to train AI. But what are the other advantages? How will it benefit the company?

This decision will also provide the company with more educational data (for those who have not opted out) and perhaps encourage more users to create accounts and subscribe for GPT-4 access instead of the free GPT-3.5 model.

Once this feature is active, ChatGPT shows a screen with optional buttons to sign up or log in after the text “How can I help you today?”. OpenAI says that access is being rolled out gradually. So if you don’t see the option yet, you can check back later.

More details have begun to emerge about the features and price of the affordable AirPods Lite, expected to be introduced by Apple...

OpenAI says it has added extra protections for unaccounted users, including blocking prompts and image creation in more categories than for logged-in users. An OpenAI spokesperson said that in developing the feature it took into account how logged-out GPT-3.5 users could potentially expose new threats.

The spokesperson added that the teams responsible for detecting and stopping the misuse of AI models were involved in the creation of the new feature and will adjust accordingly if unexpected threats arise.

You can disable data training for your prompts when you are not logged in. To do this, click the small question mark to the right of the text box, then select Settings and turn off “Optimize the model for everyone”.
