Unlocking Hidden Features in Windows 11 Just Got Easier!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft is making it much easier for Windows 11 users to activate hidden and experimental features. Thanks to a new settings section being added to the operating system, users will now be able to manually toggle these test-phase innovations on and off.

Windows 11 Hidden Features to be Unlocked with “Feature Flags”

Until now, innovations tested within the Windows Insider Program were distributed through a sort of “lottery system” called Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR). This system made it nearly impossible to test all features offered in a single build at the same time. Advanced users had to resort to difficult-to-use third-party applications like ViVeTool, which require specific identification codes, to bypass this barrier.

Having recently promised to resolve ongoing issues within Windows 11, Microsoft indicated it would make accessing new features in the Insider program easier. As the first reflection of this promise, a user named @phantomofearth discovered a hidden menu called “Feature Flags” in build 26300.8155. This new menu consolidates the operating system’s features that are currently in the development stage into a single point of access.

A Central Hub for Experimental Settings

Within this new settings section, there is a comprehensive list including:

The system also hosts a warning message informing users that modifying these development-stage settings may lead to instability or performance issues.

While Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement or presentation regarding the “Feature Flags” menu, its general release will mean users no longer have to wait for the “rollout lottery” to try the updates they are excited about. What do you think about this development? Would you use the new settings menu to experiment with the hidden features of Windows 11? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Would you like me to research how to enable the hidden “Feature Flags” menu using ViVeTool in the latest Insider build or provide a list of current experimental features worth testing? Let me know!
