Samsung has rolled out the first software update for its next-generation foldable phone models that it launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices have started to benefit from Samsung’s August 2024 security update. The update, which is currently only available to users in South Korea, is expected to be available to users in other countries, including Turkey, soon.
Samsung’s new foldable phones get their first update
The August 2024 security patch for Samsung’s foldable clamshell phone Galaxy Z Flip 6 was released with software version F741NKSU1AXH7. The software version of the update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 device appeared as F956NKSU1AXH7. Samsung’s new foldable phones have thus reached their first updates.
The August 2024 security update, which is an “urgency” for users, solves many problems on Samsung phones. According to the announced information, approximately 50 important security vulnerabilities are fixed with this update.
The update to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a file size of 408 MB. The size of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is 398 MB. The phones released by the company last month work with the One UI 6.1.1 interface based on the Android 14 operating system out of the box. It is also worth noting that the devices include Galaxy AI artificial intelligence support.
Currently, the August 2024 update is only available to users in South Korea, but it is expected to arrive in Turkey soon. To check the update, it will be enough to follow the steps “Settings > Software Update > Download and Install” respectively.
