Valve, one of the giants of the gaming world, is preparing to give a big surprise to the players. According to the latest information, it has started testing Proton support for ARM64 devices. The company plans to run Windows games on ARM-based Linux devices. Here are the details of the subject…

Valve’s new tests show that popular games like “Left 4 Dead 2” and “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor” can now be played on ARM devices. Proton has already been successfully running Windows games on x86 devices. Now it’s bringing that success to ARM devices as well.

Although there has been no official statement from Valve yet, the company is considering making gaming on Linux devices more widespread. That is, access to a large library of games will be available not only on x86 hardware but also on ARM devices.

Furthermore, Valve is said to be working on Waydroid support, meaning that even Android- based ARM device users will be able to play games on Proton. This will make the gaming world much more accessible for both Android and Linux users.

In short, playing games on ARM-based devices may become much more common. Especially Windows games running smoothly on ARM devices is an important detail for both gamers and Linux users.
