5.5G supported vivo models have emerged!

Ana sayfa /

As we are still getting used to the 5G technology, a new network standard is already on the horizon. Known as 5G-Advanced or 5GA, this new connection will first become prevalent in China. In this regard, Oppo Find X7 duo and then the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model announced this support. Now, vivo is aiming to provide 5.5G support to two of its models through an OTA update. Here are the vivo models that will receive 5.5G support.

Smartphone manufacturers use OTA, or automatic software update systems. In this context, vivo will release an OTA update for 5.5G support. The efforts of China’s largest telecom companies to provide 5.5G connection to all cities by the end of the year have also spurred Chinese manufacturers into action.

In this regard, an update for 5.5G support will be available for the vivo X100 series and the vivo X Fold 3 series, totaling four models. Thus, gradually, all models with 5G support will also receive 5.5G support. The ongoing 5G efforts in Turkey are also continuing for 5.5G.

The shared image of the vivo X100 Pro model shows that it has achieved download speeds of 3619.19 Mbps and upload speeds of 160.75 Mbps. So, what is 5.5G, and what are its differences from 5G?

vivo V40 SE 5G has been released in Europe! Here are its specs

It seems that vivo's latest phone, the vivo V40 SE 5G, is going to be a real price-performance beast. Here are the details...

With 5G technology already offering increased download and internet speeds, 5.5G takes it even further. According to this, 5.5G technology will offer data transfer speeds 10 times faster than 5G. Accordingly, 5.5G will have download speeds of up to 10 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Of course, these are the maximum levels. However, they are significantly higher than the internet speeds we currently have. In this sense, 5.5G promises to be 300% faster than 5G.

Additionally, models that support 5.5G will also have advantages such as AI-enhanced network optimization. Enabling more devices to connect to the network, consuming less power, and having a wider coverage area are among the other features of the 5.5G network. Especially, AI-supported network optimization seems to offer a solution to the problem of dropped calls and internet connection issues.
