Vivo has introduced OriginOS 4, its new interface built on Android 14. According to the Chinese company, OriginOS 4 promises significant improvements in performance, efficiency and personalization. Here are all the features and devices that will receive it.
Vivo OriginOS 4 features
One of the most important innovations coming with OriginOS 4 is performance increases. For example, there is a virtual graphics unit that reduces application opening and closing times by 36 percent. In addition, a 70 percent increase in screen frame rate stability is promised to make interactions smoother.
According to Vivo, the virtual graphics unit will also support technologies such as ray-tracing and super resolution to deliver more realistic visuals. However, it should be noted that these features depend on the GPU in the chipset.
OriginOS 4 aims to significantly reduce the system’s power consumption by reducing background processes by 20 percent. This increases the standby time of the device up to 15 days on a single charge. It also offers up to 105 hours of music playback for uninterrupted listening.
On the customization front, users can choose from more than 2,000 new icons. The new Vivo Sans font created by the company aims to improve readability. Real-time blur effects, linked wallpapers and lock screen customization are also important innovations.
New features include a meeting assistant with live captioning, super power saving mode, improved vehicle connectivity, Jovi AI assistant. You can also collect this data in one place with the family health tracker app. It’s important to note that some features, such as the AI assistant, are exclusive to China.
OriginOS 4 will be available on the X100 and iQOO 12 series, which will be released this month. Other models will start receiving a test version from November.
