Vivo, one of the growing names in the smartphone market, is preparing to introduce a model that will be a really tough competitor to Samsung’s foldable phone in the coming days. Today, the release date of Vivo X Fold 2 was announced. So, what will be the specs of Vivo X Fold 2?

We have seen many leaks that Vivo’s foldable phone, like it will be introduced in March or April. This leaks was confirmed firsthand with the latest statement made by Vice President Huang Tao of the company. The 2023 Boao Forum event, which started yesterday, was indicated as the release date for Vivo X Fold 2. Therefore, we can say that it will be available for sale today or tomorrow.
So, what will be the specs of Vivo X Fold 2? First of all, the device will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is currently the most powerful processor that Android manufacturers can use. This chip set consists of 1 unit of 3.2GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2 units of 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 2 units of 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A710, and 3 units of 2GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Its graphics will be powered by Adreno 740.
When the device is open, we see a tablet-sized screen of 8.03 inches. An AMOLED panel with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate is used here. When closed, it has a frameless screen on the front as well. However, the size and features of this 2nd screen are not yet known.
On the back, there is a triple camera system. The first one is the main camera with 50-megapixel resolution, using Sony IMX866 sensor. The second one is an ultra-wide-angle camera using Sony IMS633 sensor. The third one is a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor using Sony IMX633 sensor. In addition, it will have a battery with a size of 4,800mAh and 120W fast charging technology.
