Ana sayfa / News

Garmin has kicked off a major new software cycle for the Vivoactive 6 with Beta 16.11. As the first release in the v16.xx branch, this update brings more than just tweaks, it delivers a clear signal that Garmin’s budget smartwatch is getting smarter and more fitness-focused.

The standout feature in Beta 16.11 is the arrival of training plans centered around timed workouts. These structured sessions cater to users looking for guided cardio and strength routines with flexible timing. It’s a smart move for a mid-range device like the Vivoactive 6, giving it more training depth without adding unnecessary complexity.

The update also adds support for multi-sport activity tracking. This lets users log multiple types of exercise in one go perfect for mixed workouts or anyone training for a triathlon.

Venu X1 update adds battery tracking, fitness plans, and voice alerts

Garmin's new Beta 16.11 update for the Venu X1 adds battery tracking, voice alerts, new apps, and over a dozen new smartwatch features.

Garmin has packed in four new glances those quick-access views that offer at-a-glance health and performance insights. From battery stats to weight tracking and behavioral effects on wellness, these glances are designed to streamline information without diving deep into menus.

They join an improved sleep glance, which now recommends optimal bed and wake times based on personal data ideal for users trying to improve recovery and sleep quality.

Here’s what Beta 16.11 brings to Vivoactive 6:

This update isn’t just about workouts. Garmin has added voice alerts, which can be enabled globally or used alongside compatible radar devices. It’s another feature lifted from more expensive models, now landing on a $249 smartwatch.

Vivoactive 6 users can also download a new app that shows recent WhatsApp messages directly on the watch face. While it doesn’t match full message reply functionality, it’s a clear quality-of-life bump for Android users.

With Beta 16.11, Garmin shows it’s not leaving the Vivoactive 6 behind. These upgrades give the budget smartwatch more in common with its higher-end siblings, blending smarter training, better feedback, and real-world convenience in a package that still costs under $300.
