Voting for the PS Blog Game of the Year Awards has begun!

Ana sayfa / News

The voting process for the 2025 PS Blog Game of the Year Awards, eagerly anticipated by PlayStation gamers every year, has officially begun. This event, which features last year’s most notable titles, long-awaited sequels, and surprise projects from independent studios, will award awards in a total of 19 different categories. Players can participate in polls on the PS Blog starting today to support their favorite titles.

The winners of this award ceremony are determined entirely by the community. The nominees listed in the polls on the PlayStation Blog are quite comprehensive. However, users can add a title not on the list to their nominees by using the “write-in” option. Games receiving the majority of votes will be awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum trophies once voting concludes. The official results are planned to be announced within a few weeks.

Certain technical rules apply to the selection of categories. For example, the Best PS5 Game category only includes games released this calendar year and excludes remakes. The Best Continuing Game category focuses on older games that received major content updates this year. The deadline for nominations was November 30th. Games released after this date were not included in the shortlist for consideration in next year’s awards.

Another noteworthy detail was the decision regarding Grand Theft Auto VI. The game won the Platinum trophy in the “Most Anticipated Game” category at the 2023 awards. Therefore, to give other titles a chance, GTA VI was not included in this year’s Most Anticipated Game of 2026 and Beyond category. Voting ends on Monday, December 8th at 11:59 PM Pacific time.
