The Warhammer universe is about to get messier and fans are clearly into it. Warhammer Survivors, a new bullet-hell roguelike from Poncle and Auroch Digital, has stormed past 100,000 Steam wishlists just a week after being announced. It’s a chaotic new spin on the franchise, powered by the same engine as Vampire Survivors and packed with enough Xenos to paint the battlefield red (or black, if you’ve got Nuln Oil).

Set in both the Mortal Realms and the grimdark future of the 41st Millennium, Warhammer Survivors throws players into a nonstop tide of enemies. The action never slows down expect to face swarms of Tyranids, Skaven, and everything in between. Built for fans of screen-clearing chaos, the gameplay is a clear nod to Vampire Survivors, Poncle’s 2022 indie hit that redefined the auto-battler genre.

Now, Poncle returns alongside Auroch Digital to bring that formula into the Warhammer mythos bolters, chainswords, and all.

World of Warcraft Midnight beta sinks into lag, Blizzard blames the fish

World of Warcraft: Midnight beta lags hard, with Blizzard blaming fish NPCs then backpedaling as deeper server issues emerge.

If you’ve ever wanted to see what a Bolter looks like in a roguelike, this is your chance. Warhammer Survivors lets players:

There’s even a nod to the tabletop side of Warhammer yes, you can drown your enemies in Citadel Nuln Oil (or at least try to).

While Auroch Digital isn’t new to the Warhammer license, Warhammer Survivors takes things in a much weirder, more chaotic direction. It ditches cinematic drama for raw survival, blending classic Warhammer aesthetics with arcade-style punishment. Unlike its strategy-heavy cousins like Dawn of War, this one’s all about holding the line until your screen is a glowing mess of explosions and corpses.

The game already has players buzzing and not just for the carnage. With 100,000 wishlists and counting, Warhammer Survivors is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Warhammer spin-offs in years. There’s no set date yet, but the developers confirmed a 2026 release window and more feature reveals coming soon.

In a universe where there is only war, 100,000 players are ready to add just one more.
