Apple is introducing a number of new widgets with the watchOS 11 update, which it plans to release this fall, among these widgets is an integrated Shazam widget that gives users a faster and easier way to recognize songs. Shazam, which can be pre-installed on Apple Watch, can now be used within the Smart Stack feature.
Shazam will be built into Apple Watch with watchOS 11
Apple is making the process of recognizing songs even easier with the Shazam widget that will be integrated into the Smart Stack with the watchOS 11 update. Users will be able to easily recognize songs on Apple Watch without the need for Siri or downloading an app. To access the Smart Stack, simply flip the Digital Crown.
With the watchOS 11 update, Smart Stack will display widgets based on time, location and other factors, and will be supported by Live Activities.
This will allow users to easily follow sporting events or upcoming events. New Smart Stack widgets will also be available, including severe weather alerts, Translation, Training Load (a new watchOS 11 Workout feature), Photos and Distance.
watchOS 11 is currently available for developers for testing purposes, and Apple plans to make the software generally available this fall.
