watchOS 26.2 Released: Here’s What’s New

Ana sayfa / News

Apple has released watchOS 26.2 for its smart wearable devices, and this new update includes significant improvements, particularly in enhancing the user sleep tracking experience. The new version introduces an updated Sleep Score classification system with a more detailed range.

This updated range allows users to see their sleep quality more clearly; scores are categorized as follows: Very Low (0-40), Low (41-60), Fair (61-80), High (81-95), and Very High (96-100).

In addition to this new Sleep Score classification, watchOS 26.2 comes with the “Enhanced Security Alerts” feature, which is particularly important for users in the US. This feature will inform users about upcoming threats such as natural disasters, floods, and other emergencies. These alerts will include rich information such as maps of affected areas and links to additional security guides, but are currently only available in the United States.

The new watchOS update also includes several bug fixes. One of these fixes focuses on resolving an issue in the Music app that occasionally prevented a song from skipping to the next track.

Users whose Apple Watch devices are eligible for the watchOS 26.2 update can install it by going to the Apple Watch app on their paired iPhone and navigating to General > Software Update. However, before doing so, ensure that your iPhone is also running iOS 26.2.
