ASELSAN has brought its half-century journey toward full independence, transforming from a dream to reality, to the screen with a striking scenario.

This commercial, produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ASELSAN, founded on November 14, 1975, highlights the story of ASELSAN’s founding. It was established to develop its national systems following the communication problems and embargoes imposed during the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation due to external dependency.

The film symbolizes ASELSAN’s 50-year journey toward full independence, as it embarked on the production of Turkey’s first national radio. The film showcases the technological advancements achieved by the national defense industry, originating from the heart of the Turkish nation, and references milestones in ASELSAN’s history.

From Embargoes to Full Independence

This historical film depicts a soldier serving during the Cyprus Peace Operation dreaming of achieving full independence with the national technologies developed by Turkey. The heroic Turkish soldier’s symbolic technological journey during the campaign demonstrates ASELSAN’s advanced level of engineering prowess and technological expertise. This 50-year symbolic journey, which portrays Turkey breaking its chains, depicts ASELSAN’s resolute strides, beginning with radio systems and culminating in the Layered Air Defense System, ÇELİKKUBBE.

The soldier, marching confidently toward his goal on the front line, also represents the determination of ASELSAN’s journey, which began with radio production and has now produced over 700 of the best products in its field. The film strikingly portrays how the heroic soldier’s dream of complete technological independence, thanks to ASELSAN’s engineering prowess, has gradually become a reality and has led to the creation of national technologies.
