What is the difference between iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16?

Ana sayfa /

Apple introduced the iPhone 16 series with great expectations this year, as it does every year. However, it is obvious that there are significant differences between the basic models and the Pro models. Although the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have closed the gap between them and the Pro models, Apple continues to design the Pro Max series in a premium way. So, what are these significant differences between the Pro and basic models? Details in our news…

First of all, if we look at the display, the Pro models offer OLED displays equipped with ProMotion technology with a variable refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz , while the basic models come with OLED displays with a fixed refresh rate of 60 Hz . In addition, the Pro models have the Always On Display feature, while the basic models do not have this feature.

There are also significant differences in design. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models come with a titanium frame, while the base models use an aluminum frame. The back of the Pro models is made of matte glass , while the base models use glossy glass.

In terms of performance, the Pro models are equipped with the A18 Pro chip, while the basic models have the A18 chip. The chip in the Pro models offers more powerful performance in terms of graphics processing. Both models have a 6-core CPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, but the Pro models have superior graphics performance.

As for the camera, the Pro models have a 48 MP main camera and an ultra-wide 48 MP camera, while the basic models have a 48 MP main camera but only a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro models have a telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom , but this feature is not available on the basic models. The Pro models also have a LiDAR sensor and can take photos in ProRAW format.

There are also noticeable differences in terms of connectivity. While the Pro models have USB-C ports that support USB 3.0 speeds, the basic models support USB 2.0. In other words, it makes a big difference in data transfer speeds. In terms of battery life, the Pro Max model offers the longest with 33 hours of video playback, while the other models range from 22 to 27 hours.

Finally, when it comes to differences between the US and Europe, models in the US come with antennas that support the faster 5G mmWave technology, while models in Europe only support 5G sub-6 GHz networks.
