In recent years, technology has been constantly developing and contributing to almost every aspect of human life. It provides significant benefits, especially in the field of medicine and health. Finally, Samsung announced its SmartThings Family Care feature. So what does it do? Here is everything you need to know…
What is the Samsung SmartThings Family Care feature?
Today, advances in modern medicine have made great strides in extending human lifespans. However, this longevity has also brought with it new challenges from an aging population. Many adults today are responsible for caring for elderly relatives. With this in mind, Samsung has launched the SmartThings Family Care feature for these people.
This feature, which is included in the Samsung SmartThings app, allows those who care for elderly relatives or individuals who cannot meet their own needs to follow the condition of the people they are responsible for more closely. In this context, notifications can be received when an appointment date is approaching in case it is time for medication or a regular doctor’s check-up.
SmartThings Family Care can work in integration with smart home products. In this way, information such as whether the lights in the home of the person in need are left on or the air quality in the room can be reported to the responsible person. In addition, the smartphone of the person in need can notify the responsible person about the person’s start to the day or changes in routines such as waking up unusually late. In addition, it should be noted that location tracking can be done.
SmartThings Family Care will be available to Samsung Galaxy users in the United States starting August 16. It is not yet known if the feature will be released in other countries.
