Ana sayfa / News

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) has released its second-quarter 2025 report. According to the report, the number of high-speed internet subscribers in Turkey has more than doubled in one year.

According to BTK data, the number of subscribers using speed packages of 100 Mbps and above has experienced a record increase. This number, which was approximately 868,000 in the same period last year, has exceeded 1,750,000 this year. Thus, the percentage of users preferring speeds of 100 Mbps and above has increased from 4.5% to 8.8%.

The main driver behind this rapid growth is the widespread adoption of “Fiber to the Home” (FTTH) technology. In the past year, the number of FTTH subscribers increased from 6.11 million to 7.57 million, with 1.45 million new subscribers added. Consumers are now switching to higher speeds.

User speed preferences are also generally changing. According to the report, the share of speeds between 10 and 35 Mbps decreased. However, the share of 35-50 Mbps packages increased from 18% to 22.5%, and 50-100 Mbps packages increased from 21.4% to 26%.

In the second quarter of 2025, the total number of broadband internet subscribers in Turkey reached 97.4 million. TTNet led the market in fixed broadband services with a 53.74% subscriber share, followed by Superonline and VodafoneNet.

Furthermore, data usage continues to rise. Average monthly usage per subscriber for fixed broadband reached 305 GB. For mobile broadband, this figure stood at 17.8 GB.
