The iPhone 15 family, unveiled by Apple on September 12 and currently available for general sale, remains in the spotlight, especially with the Pro models. With discussions ongoing about the excessive heating issues, particularly brought to light by Ming-Chi Kuo, an official statement was released a short while ago. Apple officially acknowledged the overheating issues in the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Will the heating problem on the iPhone 15 Pro be solved with the update?
The debates about the overheating problems in the iPhone 15 Pro models, initially brought to light by Ming-Chi Kuo, continue. According to reports, smartphones, which reach temperatures of up to 46 degrees, have raised questions among users. It seems that a software update coming soon will rid the devices of these issues.
Apple, in a recent interview with Forbes, admitted that the 15 Pro models tend to overheat. According to the company, there are three different reasons behind this issue. The primary reason for the Pro models running at high temperatures is the intensive background setup processes. In other words, the models exert extra effort to quickly transfer data from previous phones to themselves, causing heating issues.
Another reason is a bug detected in iOS 17. Without going into details about the issue, the manufacturer promised to resolve it with a software update very soon. It was emphasized that updates to third-party applications also contribute to the excessive heating of the devices. Finally, it was stated that the A17 Pro in the iPhone 15 Pro models can comfortably run console-level games like Resident Evil and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Therefore, a consensus has been reached that the mentioned problem is not due to hardware or design issues, as mentioned above.
