Apple is one of the manufacturers expected to enter the foldable phone market, where brands such as Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi appear. Unfortunately, there has been no statement from the company on this issue to date, and this raises questions in the minds of users. So, is Apple really working on a foldable iPhone? If it works, when can the foldable iPhone be introduced?
Apple Vision Pro team participated in foldable iPhone works
The common point of recent reports is that Apple is preparing to enter the foldable phone business. The latest information shared by Alpha Biz, which stands out in the industry with its leaks, adds a new one to these rumors.
The development team of Vision Pro, Apple’s most talked about product of late, has started to support foldable iPhone work. In fact, it is said that the brand made such a decision because it does not plan to make an addition to Vision Pro for at least 1.5 years.
It is stated here that the Vision Pro team is very talented in screen technologies and that this is a strategic move that will eliminate screen durability concerns about the foldable iPhone within the company.
If the rumors are true, it is said that Apple wants to launch two types of products in this field. The first is an iPhone that can be folded inwards like the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the second is a foldable iPad that can be a tablet when opened like the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
We can say that there is another important detail here. According to some industry sources, Apple may shelve the Galaxy Z Flip 5 concept due to durability concerns and continue with a product similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. In this case, we may encounter a product that can be an iPad when opened and an iPhone when folded.
As can be seen, no matter how much information is revealed, there is still confusion about the brand’s foldable phone studies. However, considering that Apple will not take a step on this issue until it is fully ready, we can say that we will see a foldable iPhone in 2026 at the earliest, considering past reports.
