Meta is planning to integrate a series of artificial intelligence tools, similar to ChatGPT, into social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram. These AI tools will provide responses similar to ChatGPT and aim to enhance user interactions on the platforms.
Meta unveils AI tools for WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram
During a recent event, Meta showcased the development of these AI tools for integration with Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. The chatbots will provide responses that resemble conversations you’ve had before, thereby increasing user engagement on the platforms.
Meta also demonstrated an upcoming AI feature for Instagram. One of the innovations includes using artificial intelligence to assist users in editing their photos. For example, users will be able to change someone’s hair color in a photo using text-based editing.
Another feature to be introduced for Instagram is AI-generated emoji creation. Users will be able to express themselves more accurately with the help of artificial intelligence.
While Meta has not yet released any AI features specifically for users, they have provided an AI-powered tool for advertising companies to generate visuals and slogans. CEO Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned that this technology will be integrated across all social media platforms.
During the presentation, Meta also showcased a productivity assistant called “Metamate” that caters to employees. This tool will help organize work processes based on company information and perform certain routine tasks for employees. All of these developments indicate Meta’s exploration of leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance user experiences.
