One of the most popular messaging apps, WhatsApp, has been continuously introducing new features to users since it became part of Meta. In its latest move to improve normal and video call options, the platform announced today that it will be adding new filters and backgrounds for video calls.
10 New Filters and Backgrounds for WhatsApp Video Calls
WhatsApp, which constantly enhances its chats and aims to keep users engaged, is now introducing more advanced features for video calls. Following the screen-sharing feature introduced a few months ago, 10 new filters and 10 new background options are being rolled out.
The available filter options include Warm, Cool, Black-and-White, Light Leak, Dreamy, Broken Light, Fish Eye, Vintage TV, Frosted Glass, and Dual Tone. For background options, users can choose from Blurred, Living Room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Gourmet, Brush Strokes, Beach, Sunset, Celebration, and Forest.
With these new features, you’ll be able to change the color tone of your video calls or choose a background to hide your surroundings or create a more stylish look. This feature, which is already familiar in meeting apps, is finally coming to WhatsApp.
The new options will be available for one-on-one or group video calls in the coming weeks. Once released, you can access them by selecting the effects icon in the top right corner of your screen, where you’ll find the filters and background options to apply as you like.
