WhatsApp for Android has been updated with useful new features. The company continues to develop the application. WhatsApp continues to work on innovations every day in order not to fall behind its competitors. The benefits of the update made specifically for WhatsApp for Android were announced by the company in the Play Store notes as follows:
Here are the details of the WhatsApp 2.23.3.77 Android version
- You can now add captions when sending documents
- Added support for longer group subjects and descriptions to better describe your group
- You can now send up to 100 photos/videos at once. This number was previously limited to 30
- You can now create personalized avatars and use them as stickers and profile photos. Go to Settings > Avatar to get started.
There are also other improvements for the app. For example, WhatsApp will soon be able to transcribe voice messages. The platform had actually started working on this feature in 2021, but the infrastructure was shelved without any reason. Now, the useful feature is back again.
The infrastructure, which is expected to be released in the coming months, will allow users to transcribe the voice messages they receive. According to the information given, this conversion will be carried out directly within the devices, that is, there will be no transfer to another server. This prevents security concerns. The feature of transcribing voice messages will only output text in the detected language and will require clear detection.
The feature to transcribe voice messages is currently being tested with iOS version 23.3.0.73, but of course it is an option that will come to Android. This feature is already available on Telegram, but it is part of the Premium membership. In other words, you need to pay a monthly fee on Telegram. WhatsApp, on the other hand, will offer the feature to its users completely free of charge.
