WhatsApp is getting ready to get a major design innovation in the Android version. The interface redesigned with Material Design 3 will gain a modern look. The new update shared to the beta version causes the green bar at the top to turn white and the WhatsApp text to change.

The green bar on Android’s WhatsApp will now be white

WhatsApp is changing its Android app in line with Google’s Material Design 3 guidelines. This change, which will give the popular messaging app a modern look, has already received mixed reviews.

The new interface tested in WhatsApp for Android beta 2.23.13.16 features a completely white top bar. This bar, which is presented in green in the stable version, gets a more elegant look. There will also be green UI elements on white.

New feature for WhatsApp! Location can be hidden

The popular messaging platform WhatsApp will elevate user privacy to a higher level with its new IP Address Protection feature.

The revamped look has also affected the WhatsApp logo. While it uses a different font compared to the current “WhatsApp” text, the font size seems to have increased.

WhatsApp’s revamped top design includes chat filters (Unread, Personal and Work) to help better manage conversations. These filters will become even more useful when WhatsApp starts using multiple accounts on one phone.

On the other hand, the navigation bar has been moved to the bottom for beta users for a while. The bottom bar includes tabs such as Chats, Status and Calls. It is not known whether swipe gestures between tabs are supported with the new change.
