WhatsApp continues to introduce new features. Most recently, the platform launched a long-awaited feature for its beta users in version 2.24.22.2 for Android. Responding to user feedback, the company has implemented this enhancement for the Status feature. Here are the details…
WhatsApp Statuses Can Be Viewed Multiple Times on the Home Page
According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp now allows you to view your friends’ Status updates multiple times from the app’s main page. You can check out the screenshot of the new feature below.
With this update, after viewing a photo or video, users will notice that a gray circle will remain around the person’s photo. When you tap on this gray circle, all Status updates will replay.
Although this change may seem simple, it means that users will no longer need to go to the Updates tab to browse content shared by family or friends. Therefore, this new feature will save users time.
When users add a new video, text, or photo to their Stories, WhatsApp will continue to indicate this to users with the iconic green circle on the main page.
Currently, this feature is available only in the Android beta version. However, it seems that the widespread release of this feature in the stable version will not take long.
