WhatsApp message editing is on the way

Ana sayfa / News

The world’s most used instant messaging service WhatsApp is actively working on multiple new features. WhatsApp has been working on the much-requested message editing support that many competitors have had for years. The feature is still not out yet, but according to the signs in the latest beta versions, improvements are actively ongoing.

WhatsApp message editing feature can be very useful for typos

The feature will allow you to edit a sent message. The window for edited messages will clearly say “edited”. WhatsApp will only allow messages to be edited within 15 minutes of being sent. WhatsApp message editing, which is still unknown when it will be released but is thought to be soon, will be very pleasing to people, especially when it comes to solving minor typos. Sometimes mistakes are made during automatic keyboarding and quick typing. Some people delete and resend to correct these mistakes. Others prefer to scroll the message and write the correct one as a reply. This creates a serious waste of time.

Of course, there are other improvements in the works for WhatsApp. For example, it was recently revealed that the company is developing a “video message” feature. The feature, which works like voice messages, will allow people to shoot videos up to 60 seconds in the app and share them with their friends. The feature, which seems to be appreciated because it will work easily and quickly, will be based on end-to-end encryption. It will most likely be activated for everyone within 1-2 months.

Meanwhile, the company is also working on a “voice chat” feature. The details for this feature are not very clear yet, but it seems that people will be able to quickly start a voice call from the top of the chat window. For this purpose, the company will add an icon in the form of a sound wave to the top menu, so that a quick voice communication can be established with the other side for detailed or long developments that occur as the messaging progresses and cannot be explained in writing.
