WhatsApp expands multi-device support. Although, you can link your profile with up to three devices, but none of them can be another smartphone. According to WABetaInfo report, this may soon change. You may soon be able to connect two phones to your WhatsApp profile. Here are the details…
WhatsApp could soon allow you to use one account on multiple phones
WhatsApp will name the new feature as a ‘Companion Mode’. This mode will allow users to link a secondary mobile device to their account by scanning a QR code. When users log into WhatsApp from a secondary phone, their chat history are copied to ‘Companion Device’.
The transfer may take some time, but it will probably need just a couple of minutes to finish. Unfortunately, we don’t know when WhatsApp plans to release the companion mode since this feature is still under development.
WhatsApp users have waited a long time for this feature. Competing platforms like Telegram have had multi-device support for years. But even now, you can link your profile with up to three more devices, here is how to do it…
