In recent years, WhatsApp brings a lot of new features and improvements to keep its users in safe and offer them better security and privacy. Today, the company announced a new privacy feature on iOS beta, called WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.5.0.73. According to the release notes, the new version includes the “Push Name within the Chat List” feature. Here are the details about the new WhatsApp new beta update on iOS…

Push Name within Chat List for unknown contact

Today, Meta-owned popular messaging platform WhatsApp released a new “Push Name within Chat List” feature for users to understand who the unknown contact is. Thanks to the new beta update, iOS users don’t need to save the number as a new contact to see who he or she is. The WABetaInfo explains,” The push name replaces the phone number within the chat list when you receive a message from an unknown contact in a group chat, for some beta testers!”

While the new beta update is now available for some WhatsApp iOS beta testers, who install the latest version of beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, the messaging platform is expected to expand the update for more users in the next few days.

Also, this is not the first step regarding the groups from WhatsApp. The tech company released a new feature a few days ago that shows profile pictures of users in groups next to their messages. One of the reasons for these improvements is that the platform released a new update for groups to add 1024 people. Thanks to the latest updates, it will be easier to recognize the people.
