WhatsApp is preparing to revolutionize video calls with a new feature that allows screen-sharing during video calls. Users can now test this feature using the WhatsApp Beta available on the Microsoft Store for Windows.
WhatsApp to support screen-sharing on Windows
The WhatsApp 2.2322.1.0 beta version for Windows introduces the screen sharing feature to video calls. This feature, which was previously tested on Android, is now available for Windows as well. With this feature, you can share your desktop screen with other participants during video chats.
Beta users will see a screen sharing option in the video call controls. In this area, you can choose to share a specific window or the entire desktop with the participants of the video call. Users on mobile devices during the call will also be able to view the shared screen.
Users will have detailed settings for screen sharing and can stop sharing their screens anytime using the “Stop Screen Sharing” button. This feature is currently accessible through the Windows for WhatsApp 2.2322.1.0 beta application available on the Microsoft Store.
In addition, the messaging application continues to receive notable updates. With the WhatsApp Channels feature, users will be able to access content shared by channels they follow in a separate tab called “Updates”.
