Ana sayfa / Social Media

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging platform, continues to add new features to its arsenal every day. The latest development regarding the platform came just the other day. It has been revealed that a new security feature will be added to the application’s web beta version. As a result, it will be possible to have a screen lock feature on WhatsApp Web.

The screen lock feature is currently being tested by beta version users!

WhatsApp, one of the most preferred messaging platforms, continues to address its shortcomings one by one. The platform is now introducing a significant feature for its web version. This new feature has emerged in the beta version of WhatsApp Web with the code 2.2333.11.

According to this, a screen lock feature is coming to the WhatsApp Web application. This feature will essentially require entering a password when opening WhatsApp on the screen. If the password is not entered, the screen will not unlock. This new feature will be particularly useful for those who forget to close their WhatsApp on shared devices.

Massive fines for banks! The reason is only using WhatsApp

Several US banks, including Wells Fargo, were fined half a billion dollars just for using WhatsApp and iMessage.

Currently, it is being tested only by some beta version users. The feature will be accessible through the “Privacy” settings section. When you enter this section, you will see an option called “Screen Lock.” Once you activate the option, you will be prompted to set a password. After setting the password, you will need to enter it every time you open a WhatsApp Web page.

In recent days, we also reported about a new security option being added to the WhatsApp mobile application. According to that news, options for screen lock using fingerprint or facial recognition were going to be available. Today, a similar feature has been introduced to WhatsApp Web.

Unfortunately, there is currently no information about when this feature will be available to all users. However, it is expected to arrive for all users very soon. Additionally, whether a similar feature will be introduced to the desktop version remains uncertain.
