WhatsApp continues to expand its AI integration under the Meta umbrella. With a new feature the company is testing in its messaging app, users will be able to chat directly with Meta AI via voice instead of typing. This innovation, currently available in beta versions of the iOS version, aims to make interaction with AI more natural and faster.
WhatsApp is introducing AI chat
With this new feature, users will be able to issue direct voice commands using the Meta AI option in chat screens. Additionally, a voice icon added to the bottom right corner of the app’s search tab will enable users to engage in voice dialogue with AI. With this feature, users will be able to ask questions, get information, or create visual content with various commands without having to type.
Meta AI, accessible through WhatsApp, will allow users to utilize AI beyond text-based interaction. This feature, similar to ChatGPT, expands the capabilities of Meta AI, previously available only through text. However, it is not yet known when the feature will be available to all users after the completion of testing.
The new feature is currently being tested only in select countries. Meta AI is still not available to users in Turkey. Therefore, the feature will not be available in Turkey upon release. The company has not shared a date for when Meta AI will arrive in Turkey.
