When is the foldable MacBook coming?

Ana sayfa / News

Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his important leaks about Apple products, announced that the mass production date of Apple’s first foldable product, the full-screen foldable MacBook model, has been significantly delayed. He also revealed that no date was given for the foldable iPad. Here are the details of the leak and the reason for the delay…

The product, which was originally planned to go into production in the first half of 2026, may now reportedly be delayed until the end of 2027 or 2028 at the earliest. According to Kuo’s information, the display panel of the foldable MacBook model will be supplied by LG Display and Apple has set the screen size at 18.8 inches.

This screen will shrink to 13-14 inches when folded. The 20.25-inch screen size (14-15 inches when folded), which was previously worked on, has been shelved. Kuo also noted that despite previous rumors, there is no evidence that Apple will introduce a foldable iPad in 2025. This reveals that foldable devices are still not a clear part of Apple’s plans.

Apple is set to make payments to certain MacBook owners!

Kuo predicts that the production cost of this foldable MacBook will be quite high. If Apple does not increase productivity and reduce costs before mass production, the price of this device could approach the levels of Vision Pro.

It remains to be seen how successful Apple’s plans for foldable technologies will be and how they will be received by consumers. What do you think? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
