After Samsung started distributing the One UI 7 update on April 7, all eyes turned to the brand’s next version, One UI 8. So what exactly is the brand’s work on the new update and when will users be able to download the new version to their phones/tablets? Here are all the details!
When will One UI 8 be released?
It is said that Samsung may make an unusual change in its update schedule with One UI 8. Major One UI updates, which are normally released in the last quarter of the year, may be offered to users in the summer this time. This can be interpreted as Samsung preparing to make its updates more compatible with Google.
Samsung usually offers One UI updates in October or November. For example, One UI 6 was released on October 30, 2023. However, this situation has changed somewhat with One UI 7. Because the new version has been postponed until April 2025 due to disruptions in the development process.
According to information shared by reliable sources, the Android 16-based One UI 8 update will be released in the summer of 2025.
However, beta tests for One UI 8 are expected to begin at the end of this month or in early June.
