When will the iOS 18.2 update that will bring ChatGPT to iPhones be released?

Ana sayfa / iOS

The wait continues for the iOS 18.2 update, which is set to bring numerous AI features, including ChatGPT integration, to iPhones. While reliable sources like Mark Gurman initially claimed that the update would be released on December 2, as of December 5, this prediction has proven inaccurate. Recent developments now suggest a new release date for iOS 18.2.

UK-based telecommunications company EE recently sent out a notification to its users, stating that Wi-Fi calling on MacBooks and iPads will be discontinued on December 9. This feature enables users to make Wi-Fi calls on devices like iPads and Macs even when their iPhones are not nearby.

Reports indicate that most telecom companies synchronize such carrier updates with iOS patches. Thus, EE might have inadvertently revealed that iOS 18.2 could be released on December 9.

It’s important to note that these are merely speculations, and waiting for an official announcement from Apple is the most reliable course of action. Even Mark Gurman, known for his accurate leaks, missed the mark on this particular update. In a prior statement, Gurman said:

“The iOS 18.2 update, featuring major improvements in Apple Intelligence, is likely to arrive in early December, I’m told. How early? The week of December 2, barring any unexpected delays.”
